Time for Family

I love this picture of my mom on her first birthday.  Look at the homemade cake. The dress was probably sewn by hand. The doily under the cake was definitely crocheted by my mom's mom or another relative. Look at how she moved a side table outside to capture the moment.

Think of the amount of time that went into creating this moment. Preserved by a picture. One snapshot that tells a story.

Family.

God designed the family unit in a beautiful way. And each family is composed of imperfect people - also His design. It's God's love that is perfect. And when we lean on His love and ask Him for His wisdom, we love our families better.

I pray that you and I embrace our families this summer, making time to create memories, and leaning on His love and His wisdom to love one another well.
